Muy Bueno Cookbook Hot Off the Press + Book Tour + Giveaway
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to the bottom to see who won!***
It’s the big day, the day we thought would never arrive, but it’s finally here! Muy Bueno Cookbook has been printed — it’s breathtaking and mouth-watering. With our Latin fusion recipes, our mother’s traditional south of the border home-style dishes, and our grandmother’s old world northern Mexican cuisine, we have a collection of recipes that make up the heart and soul of our homes.
We couldn’t be more proud and excited! This has been a long journey and a true labor of love. Over the last two years we have labored over the food styling, every photo, every story, and making sure that the recipes were easy to follow. Choosing recipes was tough but we decided on sharing the recipes that carry a special sentiment, anecdote, or family tradition and we hope you will come to love them as much as we do.
We could not have done this without the eyes and ears of our awesome team at Hippocrene Books. Priti, Colette, Barbara, and David, thank you, thank you, thank you, for believing in us and guiding us every step of the way. To Jeanine, our beautiful photographer, inside and out, your photos will live forever in our family and our hearts. And thank you to all of our supportive family and friends.
We also want to thank you our readers, all your heartfelt comments on our blog and Facebook page gave us the willpower to keep going on days when we thought we couldn’t. So today we celebrate with you — here, there, and all over the blogosphere. We are so thrilled that we just have to do a giveaway. Yes, we are giving away three cookbooks signed by all three of us. Winners look for your copy soon after Thanksgiving.
But wait that’s not all, we are especially excited about the up and coming book signings, brief readings, and cooking demonstrations spanning across three different states: Colorado, California, and Texas. We finally get to come out and meet you all. As we pop open a bottle of tequila today, in celebration of our labor of love, we raise our sipping glass to each and every one of you who have supported our blog, facebook ramblings, tweets, fiestas, taste-testing events, and now our cookbook. We look forward to seeing both familia and amigos at one of our stops in the southwest.

Hi I found your site/book from the Design Sponge website. Congrats on the cookbook! I too am from El Paso so this book is a must have. I like the German/Mexican Chocolate Cake recipe. Go ladies!
I’m looking forward to picking up a copy of your book! I’d like to try your pan de muerto recipe, especially since it’s coming up soon.
I love your celery salad with shrimp and raisins! Can’t wait for a copy of your gorgeous book 🙂
Love all your recipes but if we have to pick one it would be the tacos al pastor with roasted pineapple salsa. Such a great dish! Can’t wait for the cookbook. Love the recipes and the family history behind each one.
Congratulations on the publication of your cookbook! My favorite recipe is Pan de Merto, Bread of the Dead.
Received my book in the mail yesterday! Was so excited to see it! To pick just one favorite is near to impossible, all the recipes are great. Just beginning to read thru the book it has already brought back wonderful memories of being in the kitchen with my own Abuelita y mi familia! Gracias, gracias, gracias for this beautiful book!
So many of your recipes are very reminiscent of the dishes my mom, aunts, and grandmother made. We are getting together with my mom to show us her recipes so that my sister and I can make them in the future. Your book will be so useful in recreating lots of family recipes. I made the Hibiscus Tea and it was so wonderful — my Aunties really enjoyed it this summer!
Felicitaciones !!! Congratulations !!!! We want your book in P.R.
Great blog. Wish I could be able to create a food blog half as good as this one of these days. I love your Enchiladas Verdes con Pavo recipe! yummmmmm
Just found your site and can’t wait to try the beef brisket taco! Congratulations on the book – even if I don’t win the contest I think I’ll have to pick this one up.

I’m so happy for you and your beautiful family. Congratulations on your much deserved success! I was so hoping you would be coming to Arizona so that I would have a chance to meet you. I can’t tell you how much your recipes have meant to me…they’ve brought back so many wonderful memories of my mom’s cooking! As always, wishing you and your family many blessings.

I would love to own your cookbook. There are so many awesome recipes. It is too bad you aren’t coming up to the NW (maybe another time?) for your book signing and meet you in person.
All your recipes look yummy, but I like the beef brisket tacos, and all the others on your blog. 🙂
Thank you for the giveaway!
Congrats! My favorite recipe is the avocado ice cream and brownies.
You want us to pick a favorite recipe from your blog? Yikes…all of them? Seriously though…my favorite entree thus far is the tacos al pastor – sweet and spicy!!! For the chilly months – I can’t wait to make the pumpkin empanadas and champurrado again! Desserts – bunuelos have always been a favorite treat for many many years – your recipe is amazing and my new go-to recipe for them. Chicken tinga is good too if you like smoky hot flavoring! I wish I could go to a book signing – too far 🙁
Chicken Tinga is my favorite. However, I’ll be trying your recipe for tamales for the holidays. We have a couple of lovely book stores in Spokane WA that could benefit from your cookbook signing. I would be 1st in line. Congratulations!
I would love love love to have one of your cookbooks. Everything looks absolutely delicious! Wish you were coming to Oklahoma, we are big into Mexican flavors.
Congratulations! My “go to” recipe of yours is the Chicken Tinga. I love it and make it often!
Congratulations! Come to Austin, Tx for a book signing!
I love the roasted tomatillo-chipolte sauce! I even grow my own tomatillos now!
Thank you for the book giveaway!
Since it’s Friday, I could really go for a spicy margarita. But Sunday Dinner might be Enchiladas Verde con Pavo. Wish I was in one of the cities for the book tour, but glad to know your cookbook will be there to get me through a midwest winter while I dream of the South West.
My favorite recipe is the Sweet Tomato Turnovers!!! i love cook!!
