Melon Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honeydew melon balls
  • 1 cup cantaloupe melon balls
  • 1 bottle chilled Madria Sangria Moscato
  • 1/2 cup Hennessy V.S
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 12-ounce lemon-lime soda

Instructions

  • Place the melon balls into a pitcher and pour the moscato and cognac over the melon balls along with lemon slices. Cover, and place in the fridge for a few hours.
  • Add the lemon-lime soda just before serving. Serve in iced glasses.

Notes

This sangria pairs nicely with empanadas from Chile. The baked pastry shell of the empanada stuffed with a savory filling offsets the sweetness of the sangria.
