‘Tis the season for apple cider. This apple cider is grown up, classy, and perfect for your next fall fiesta. This sparkling sweet and spiced apple cider is a great excuse to celebrate the colorfulness of the season.

This cocktail is made with El Mayor Cristalino, an añejo tequila that goes through a special filtration process that extracts its color until it’s clear again.

Aged añejo is filtered through ultra-fine charcoal, removing the golden-brown color. The result is a stunningly clear tequila that maintains the robust character of an añejo while delivering the crisp finish of a blanco.

A cristalino truly is the best of both worlds. The aroma of cooked agave with hints of vanilla, oak, fruity, and herbal notes compliment the apple cider wonderfully.

How to make a Manzana Paloma

  • To rim the glasses, spread a small layer of maple syrup on glass rim, and place a mixture of cinnamon and sugar in a shallow plate. Dip the rim of a glass into the cinnamon sugar mix.
  • Add apple cider, maple syrup, tequila, and cloves to a shaker filled halfway with ice.
  • Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker frosts up.
  • Strain into cocktail glasses with or without ice.
  • Top with a splash of mineral water.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a thin slice of apple pierced with cloves.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 3 ounces El Mayor Cristalino Tequila
  • 2 cloves 
  • Sparkling mineral water

  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish

  • Apple slice, for garnish

  • Cloves, for garnish

Instructions
