Why I Love This Recipe

Are you in desperate need of a beach vacation but aren’t quite sure when one will happen? This is the recipe for you. One bite of this juicy, fresh, fruit-filled salsa will send your mind right to the tropics!

I was inspired to make this salsa after I saw a Pineapple and Mango Salsa in the What’s Gaby Cooking cookbook. This recipe is a simplified version that takes just six ingredients and a few minutes to throw together.

Sweet mango, succulent pineapple, and tart lime combine their fruity forces for a salsa unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. Equal parts fruit salad and pico de gallo, this is a bright, fresh, and summery salsa that I just can’t get enough of.

As you well know, I’m happy eating just about any fresh salsa by the spoonful. This sweet and spicy mango salsa is no exception! I’ve also grown fond of serving it with fish tacos, shrimp tacos, grilled chicken, and pork tenderloin.

In summary, this salsa is beautiful, versatile, easy to make and even easier to eat. What’s not to love?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to serve this salsa?

I personally like this salsa with just about anything we grill up for dinner – flaky fish, sweet shrimp or scallops, tender chicken, a perfectly seared steak or even pork chops. As such, it is a summertime staple in our house!

How long will leftovers last?

This pineapple mango salsa should keep in the fridge for up to a week, so feel free to make a big batch! It goes well with just about everything you’d grill up for dinner.

What can I use instead of cilantro?

While I love the fresh herbaceous flavor of cilantro, I know it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. You can either opt to omit it from this recipe, or swap in some fresh mint or basil instead.
