What if I told you there is a magical app to help you save time and money at the grocery store?
Well guess what? There is! The Kroger Family of Stores has a mobile app to make shopping even easier.
As you can imagine, as a food blogger I shop at my local King Soopers store a couple times a week. I wish I could say that I am great at saving money at the grocery store with coupons, but unfortunately, I am not. Without fail, I always forget coupons at home or in the car.
Once you download the Kroger Family of Stores app you sign in and you can load digital coupons directly to your shopper’s card. Genius, right?
You can easily build your online shopping list and use it to shop in store and find items by aisle. Is that amazing or what? That alone is a huge timesaver!
If you have prescriptions at the store you can even manage those. You can also keep track of your fuel points, which is one of my favorite features.
And since your shopper’s card is stored on your phone all you have to do is scan it at checkout to redeem your coupons. No more pulling out your shoppers card out of your wallet because everything is stored on your phone.
Download the Kroger Family of Stores app now through August 1, 2018 and you can save $5 off your next $50 purchase* with an app exclusive digital coupon.
Now, let’s get to this yummy tropical salsa. I was inspired to make this salsa after I saw a Pineapple and Mango Salsa in the new What’s Gaby Cooking cookbook. This recipe is a simplified version. I have also seen a similar salsa on The Pioneer Woman blog.
I promise, that a taste of this salsa will transport you to a tropical beach paradise. OK, maybe that’s just me who is in desperate need of a beach vacation.
This tropical salsa is cool, refreshing, slightly sweet, a tad spicy, and full of flavor. This salsa is delicious with a side of tortilla chips and also goes really well with chicken or fish tacos.
Now, go download that app and add all of the ingredients below to your grocery list and enjoy saving time and mula.
Pineapple Mango Salsa
- 1 pineapple, peeled and diced
- 1 large mango, diced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- Kosher salt
- In a bowl, combine pineapple, mango, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. Squeeze in lime juice and add salt to taste. Stir to combine. Serve with tortilla chips or on top of chicken or fish.
I’d love to see what you cook!
