Tamale Ornaments + Special Invitation
Do you want to make easy homemade ornaments this year that require no sewing, gluing, and are super economical? Then you need to make these adorable tamale ornaments.
All you need are corn husks, filling, small rubber bands, and fabric or ribbon.
It’s like making real tamales! Soak the corn husks to make them pliable and pat them dry, add a bit of Fiber filling, wrap corn husks, and secure it with a small rubber band.
Then tie the tops with your choice of fabric or ribbon. I used a fabric swatch and cut it into strips for a rustic look. I then added twine to hang the ornaments.
I will be giving these ornaments away to everyone who is attending my tamalada this year.
During that time I will be taking questions, sharing tips, and showing you how I host a tamalada. I also want to hear about your traditions and favorite Christmas recipes and hope you will chime in.
For those of you who join, there will be an amazing giveaway that you don’t want to miss, but you have to tune in to learn how to enter.
This year my tamalada is going to be a bit different…it is a Friendsgiving Tamalada. Not only will my guests and I be enjoying our time in the kitchen making tamales, but also we can feel good about giving back to hungry kids across the United States.
No Kid Hungry is a national campaign that’s ending childhood hunger in America by making sure kids get the food they need, every day.
Every $1 I raise from my Friendsgiving can help connect a child with up to 10 meals. Every little bit counts. Together we can make a difference.
Don’t forget to RSVP here and join my tamalada on Facebook LIVE.
